Lawyer from Universidad de Los Andes, Master in Business Law and Diploma in Taxation from the same University.
Since the beginning of his career, José Miguel has specialized in National and International Tax Law, working in the International Tax & Legal Division at Deloitte. In 2013, he joined the Tax Area of the renowned Chilean firm, Guerrero Olivos, where he came to lead the Tax Team, achieving great success, and being recognized by prestigious national and international rankings, such as Leaders League and Legal 500.

In 2020, he founded PTL | PRIETO TAX & LEGAL, firm that look forward to delivering an excellent, personalized, and comprehensive tax legal advice. PTL also gives premium accounting service and support tax compliance.

José Miguel has successfully participated and led numerous structuring and reorganization businesses and projects, corporate tax planning, tax due diligences, compliance and tax lawsuits, consulting services to local and foreign companies, individuals, investment funds, family offices, corporations, and foundations.

Among his academic activities, he has been professor of the Master of Tax Reform of the Adolfo Ibáñez University and has given several lectures and seminars to clients, as well as to executives of banks, investment funds, insurance companies, mining companies, energy companies, among others.
